Data controller

S.I.A.T.I — Swiss Innovative Arts & Technologies Institute, Via Aeroporto 4, 6527 Lodrino (Switzerland), is the controller of the personal data collected through siati.ch. For any question: info@swiss-iat-institute.org.

Processing complies with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP) and, where applicable, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

What data we collect

Contact form: name, email, subject and message. Membership request: name, surname, email, phone, membership type and company name. Newsletter: email, language, the page you subscribed from, date and confirmation of consent.

The server hosting the website records technical logs (IP address, date and time, requested page) for security and diagnostics, kept for a limited period.

Why we use it

To answer contact and membership requests; to send the Digital Sovereignty Checklist and the newsletter to subscribers; to protect the website from abuse; to understand, in aggregate and anonymous form, which pages are visited.

Legal basis

Contact and membership requests are processed to follow up on your request. The newsletter relies on your explicit consent, given by ticking the box when subscribing and confirmed by email (double opt-in); you can withdraw it at any time via the link in every message or by writing to us.

How long we keep it

Contact and membership requests stay in our systems for as long as needed to handle them and in any case no longer than 24 months. Newsletter data stays for as long as you are subscribed; after unsubscribing it is removed from the list within 30 days.

Who sees the data

Data stays on systems operated by SIATI in Switzerland. To send the newsletter we use Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, Paris, France), which processes emails, language and preferences on our behalf on servers located in the European Union. We deliberately chose a European provider over a US one, for consistency with what we ask of our own suppliers. For internal form notifications we use our own mail service.

We do not sell or share data with third parties. We may disclose it only where required by law.

Cookies and statistics

The website uses no profiling or tracking cookies. Visit statistics are collected with Plausible Analytics, which uses no cookies, does not store full IP addresses and collects no personal data: it measures page views, traffic sources and a few actions (for example newsletter sign-ups) in aggregate. This is why the site shows no consent banner.

Embedded third-party content (for example a video) may set its own cookies when you activate it.

Your rights

You can at any time request access to, rectification or erasure of your data, object to processing or withdraw consent by writing to info@swiss-iat-institute.org. We reply within 30 days. In Switzerland you may also contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

This notice may change when the website's services change. The date above indicates the version in force.
